To determine these zip codes, RentCafe’s research team examined approximately 10,000 zip codes before narrowing the data down to locations with a high concentration of quality apartments in desirable neighborhoods. The study focused on locations where the average rent was:
– Below the city-wide norm for luxury apartments
– Taking up less than one-third of the typical local income

– **Texas** leads with 44 zip codes offering luxury renting at lower costs. **Colorado** follows with 22 zip codes providing high-end apartments for less.
– **Austin, TX**, topped the list of cities with the most zip codes for affordable luxury apartments.
– **Seattle** offers the largest rent savings for upscale apartments.
– The top 100 zip codes for premium living with lower rents have rates between **$120 and $880 below their respective city averages**. Almost half of these zip codes are in Western and Southwestern cities.

The research also highlighted that **Seattle, Scottsdale (AZ), and Madison (WI)** provide significant savings on upscale apartments. Specifically, **Seattle’s 98116 zip code** ranked highest for upscale living at a more affordable rental rate.
RentCafe’s report concluded that in these identified zip codes, “renters can find great deals because most rentals are high-end, yet typical rents remain below the city average for this unit type.”
