Luxury Condos: Replacing Hurricane-Damaged Family Hotel

Luxury Condos: Replacing Hurricane-Damaged Family Hotel

Phase II of the Gulfside Twelve development is now underway at 6240/6230 Estero Blvd. in Fort Myers Beach, located on the south end of Estero Island. Chicago-based Dublin Real Estate Investment Group purchased the former Carousel Hotel site for $7 million in November 2022 and has since begun construction on eight new units to replace it. The hotel had been a family-friendly destination for more than five decades before being damaged by Hurricane Ian last September.

The residences are all 4,000 square feet or larger with four ensuite bedrooms, four-and-a half bathrooms, large lanais offering unobstructed ocean views from primary living space and principal bedroom suite; plus pet friendly amenities such as resort style pool with cabanas, grilling area and gathering space – all starting at $4.1 million per unit (Phase I having already been completed).

This luxury condo project marks an exciting new chapter following Hurricane Ian’s destruction of a beloved local landmark – giving families another chance to make memories while enjoying Florida’s beautiful beaches!
