Lucid Group is expanding its operations at the Casa Grande EV auto plant with a $1 billion investment in Phase II of its Advanced Manufacturing Plant. The company will produce its Gravity SUV at this facility and aims to increase production to 90,000 vehicles per year.
This significant investment marks one of the largest in vehicle manufacturing within the state, alongside other emerging automotive companies like Nikola Corp. and ElectroMechanica (which recently announced a merger with Tevva).
According to previous statements from Lucid, their campus has the potential to reach 15 million square feet across 2,000 acres – equivalent to an original equipment manufacturer hub that can accommodate suppliers and up to 6,000 employees. This expansion showcases Lucid’s commitment towards growth and innovation in the automotive industry.
