Longfellow Unveils Upgrades at San Mateo Life Science Campus

Longfellow Real Estate Partners, one of the leading privately owned investors and developers in the life science real estate industry, has completed renovations on its San Mateo Science Center campus located in the mid-Peninsula region. The two buildings at 901 and 951 Mariners Island Blvd., acquired by Longfellow in 2021, offer over 260,000 square feet of top-of-the-line lab and office space designed to cater to a diverse range of life science and biotech companies.

Construction for the upgrades began last year with key features such as move-in ready lab suites and campus amenities that will support future tenants. In addition to these spaces, Longfellow plans to deliver several more lab suites ranging from 9,000 to 22,000 square feet in the third quarter. There are also opportunities for further expansion or customized built-to-suit options within the building.

According to Tara Korlipara , Director of Development & Market Lead at Longfellow: “We take great pride in making significant improvements across our Bay Area portfolio as we invest not just in developments but also communities.” She added that “the Peninsula has always been a hub for pioneering scientific research & development” which is why they are thrilled about expanding their offering with world-class spaces for these visionaries.
