Live Nation to Invest $1 Billion in Live Music Venues for Underserved Markets

Live Nation Entertainment has announced a major $1 billion investment to develop 18 new or revitalized live music venues across the United States. The initiative is aimed at bringing high-profile music events to smaller and traditionally underserved cities.

According to economic analysis from Oxford Economics, this investment is projected to generate a total economic impact of $2.9 billion. This includes expenditures on engineering, development, and construction. Once operational, the venues are expected to contribute $1.4 billion annually to local economies.

The Los Angeles-based entertainment giant plans to break ground on the projects over the next 18 months, with venue sizes ranging from intimate clubs to large-scale outdoor amphitheaters.

Planned locations include:
– Birmingham, AL
– Denver, CO
– Orlando, FL
– Atlanta, GA
– Indianapolis, IN
– Portland, ME
– Shakopee, MN
– Riverside, MO
– Raleigh, NC
– Portland, OR
– Allentown and Pittsburgh, PA
– Memphis and Nashville, TN
– Richmond and Virginia Beach, VA
– Seattle, WA
– Milwaukee, WI

“Our mission is simple: help artists deliver more unforgettable live experiences – and in doing so, create jobs, revive cities and lift the communities we touch,” said Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation.
