**Lithium Americas Corporation Relocates U.S. Headquarters to Chicago with $46M Investment**
Lithium Americas Corporation, a Boston-based battery manufacturer, has announced it will relocate its U.S. headquarters to Chicago. The move includes a $46 million investment aimed at expanding the company’s operations.
The new facility is expected to open later this year in Chicago’s Fulton Market district. Once operational, the headquarters will accommodate up to 100 employees, including teams from corporate leadership, legal, finance, and engineering divisions.
“I am excited to welcome the team at Pure Lithium to our state, where they’ll be an excellent addition to the business landscape and burgeoning clean energy ecosystem,” said Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. “Their investment will not only create jobs and economic opportunity for our people but help power the green revolution right here in Illinois.”
As part of the move and in return for creating 50 new jobs, Pure Lithium will receive support through Illinois’ Reimagining Energy and Vehicles (REV) incentives program.
