Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) and the San Francisco 49ers have announced a proposed 10-year extension for the naming rights of Levi’s Stadium with the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and team sponsorship with the San Francisco 49ers. This agreement, valued at $170 million, is pending approval by the Stadium Authority Board on Jan. 30.
If approved, this extension will be one of the largest in NFL history and will secure LS&Co.’s naming rights for Levi’s Stadium through to end of NFL season in 2043. Additionally, LS&Co.’s sponsorship of the team will continue with collaborations on digital content and merchandise.
According to Michelle Gass, president and incoming CEO at LS&Co., “Our partnership with The San Francisco 49ers has been highly beneficial for our brand as it has allowed us to connect with new generations through sports and music while also strengthening our community engagement efforts.” Since first announcing their naming rights in May of 2013,”we have seen significant value from this collaboration,” she added.
