**Lenovo Signs Lease for 520,000-SF Industrial Facility in North Carolina**
Mapletree Investments has signed a lease with Lenovo for a 520,583-square-foot industrial facility located at 6550 Judge Adams Road in Whitsett, North Carolina, just east of Greensboro. Lenovo plans to use the space to manufacture servers for data centers while maintaining operations at its existing nearby fulfillment center. The company is expected to invest $77 million in the new venture.
The facility is situated within Rock Creek Center, a 1,400-acre master-planned industrial park. It features 509,393 square feet of warehouse space and an 11,190-square-foot office. With close proximity to Interstates 40 and 85, the property is conveniently located just 13 miles from Greensboro in North Carolina’s Triad region.
In support of Lenovo’s expansion, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners approved a $1.1 million economic incentive package in September. The expansion is expected to create approximately 420 new jobs, nearly doubling the existing local workforce of about 500.
