Lendlease’s New York Construction group has successfully completed the topping out of 50 West 66th Street, a luxurious residential tower located in the coveted Upper West Side neighborhood. Developed by Extell Development and expected to be finished in 2026, this high-rise will boast 127 upscale condominiums and an impressive array of amenities spanning over 50,000 square feet.
In its role as construction manager, Lendlease expertly managed pre-construction services and is currently overseeing the project situated between two iconic landmarks – Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Central Park. The tower was designed by renowned architecture firm Snøhetta with features such as a swimming pool, fitness center, and outdoor terrace among its many offerings.
Steven Sommer, executive general manager and president of East Coast Construction at Lendlease Americas stated: “With its unique character and prime location visible to all who pass through this cityscape, we are confident that 50 West 66th Street will become a landmark for New York City. It has been our privilege to utilize our expertise in urban infill development to bring this exceptional project to fruition.”
