**Ledcor Development Breaks Ground on $107M ALARA Apartment Project in San Diego**

Ledcor Development LP has officially broken ground on the $107 million ALARA apartment project in the Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego. The project is being developed in partnership with Qualico US and Tokyu Land US Corporation, with Comerica Bank serving as the construction lender.

Located at the southwest corner of C Street and 30th Street, the new eight-story residential building will feature 213 modern apartment units. Golden Hill, one of San Diego’s up-and-coming neighborhoods, is currently experiencing a wave of new residential and commercial development.

“We’re thrilled to be breaking ground on this transformative project alongside our project partners,” said John Santry, Senior Vice President at Ledcor. “ALARA will deliver modern, high-quality homes to Golden Hill, addressing a critical need in a community eager for new housing.”

The project was designed and permitted under the City of San Diego’s Complete Communities ordinance. This initiative is focused on increasing housing density in transit-accessible neighborhoods while promoting sustainability, walkability and greater access to public spaces.

Construction is underway, and delivery of the rental units is expected by the first quarter of 2027.
