**Prominent Oak Lawn Developer Plans High-Rise Project**

Well-known Oak Lawn developer Jim Halperin is spearheading a plan to build a 24-story high-rise on nearly two acres at 2615 Oak Lawn Ave. The site is currently occupied by a strip mall with several restaurants and small businesses. The Halperin family has owned the 1.93-acre property for the past 19 years.

According to the *Dallas Business Journal*, the proposed residential tower will feature 310 units and rise 270 feet. The building is expected to cover approximately 40% of the project site. Plans also include two to three upscale restaurants, some of which will span two floors. Architecture firm GFF is leading the design efforts.

The next step for the project is to submit a zoning change request to the City of Dallas, a process that could take up to two years.
