LCOR’s Carbon Neutral Residential Project in Coney Island: A Sustainable Living Option

LCOR's Carbon Neutral Residential Project in Coney Island: A Sustainable Living Option

LCOR has proudly announced the grand opening of 1515 Surf, a luxurious waterfront residential community located in Brooklyn’s vibrant Coney Island neighborhood. This impressive development features 463 units and is the first of its kind to be completely electric and carbon neutral. It also boasts the largest active geothermal system ever installed in New York City.

In collaboration with Ecosave, LCOR designed and implemented this groundbreaking geothermal system which is estimated to reduce carbon emissions by over 60%. As a result, residents can expect lower utility bills while enjoying all that this state-of-the-art community has to offer. In addition, LCOR is pursuing LEED Zero Carbon certification for this project.

Anthony Tortora, SVP and principal at LCOR expressed his excitement about being part of the revitalization of one of NYC’s most iconic neighborhoods: “As a carbon neutral development that offers elegant design, ocean views, extensive amenities and transit access,” he said “1515 Surf sets a new standard for residential communities in New York City.” With its stunning location and commitment to sustainability, it’s no wonder why 1515 Surf stands out as an exceptional place to call home.
