Launch of Public Art Project at Raleigh Iron Works Innovation Hub

Raleigh Iron Works Innovation Hub is launching a public arts initiative, The Collision Project. This project provides creatives with site-specific opportunities in Jamestown’s real estate portfolio, including Raleigh Iron Works – a joint venture of Jamestown and developer Grubb Ventures.

The initial installations include murals from Durham native Gabriel Eng-Goetz and Raleigh natives Morgan “MCK” Cook and Taylor White. Spoken word artist Johnny Lee Chapman III of Fuquay-Varina will also perform the ‘Iron Code’ to an audience in 2024.

Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown said: “We want Raleigh Iron Works to be a backdrop and platform for creativity; named for the role of spontaneous collisions in the creative process, The Collision Project fosters experiential art while facilitating areas for co-creation within its built environment.”
