Prime is set to launch a $2 billion data center campus in Avondale, a Phoenix suburb. The five-building, 66.5-acre project will feature 210 megawatts of critical power and 1.3 million square feet of space upon completion in Q3 2025. Prime’s Chris Sumter noted the location’s compelling tax incentives and 16%-18% lower than average power costs as well as its low risk for natural disasters make it an ideal spot for this venture to sustain itself over time.
The first data center at the campus will provide 260,400 square feet and 42 critical megawatts to the capacity-constrained market while also offering customers access to 100% renewable energy sources through its closed loop cooling system which is expected save millions of gallons compared with evaporative systems when fully operationalized .
