Launch of NYCEDC Climate Innovation Pilot Program in Brooklyn

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) has launched a climate innovation pilot program at the Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT) in Sunset Park. This initiative will enable companies to test and scale their climate technologies in live environments, with an emphasis on energy, transportation, and building decarbonization. BAT’s infrastructure – including parking spaces, electrical systems, and plumbing – is available for use by the pilot projects.

Three companies have been chosen for the inaugural cohort: Conservation Labs; Enertiv; and Trakref. The program seeks to leverage public-private partnerships to accelerate adoption of innovative climate solutions while supporting New York City’s transition toward a green economy.
