### LaSalle Street Office Tower Listed for Sale

A LaSalle Street office building has been put on the market by its owner, a joint venture of Boston-based Beacon Capital Partners, which acquired the property in late 2019 for $230 million.

A Cushman & Wakefield team, including Tom Sitz, Cody Hundertmark, and Dan Deuter, is seeking a buyer for the 40-story building at 190 S. LaSalle St., according to a report from *Crain’s*. The building’s anchor tenant, U.S. Bank, also serves as the lender for Beacon. Currently, the bank leases just over 12,000 square feet within the property.

Given recent sales of similar office buildings in Chicago, the property may sell for significantly less than the remaining balance of the $167.5 million mortgage that Beacon secured from U.S. Bank in 2020. Designed by architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the postmodern skyscraper is notable for its distinctive green gabled roof.
