Las Vegas Film Studio Construction: 900K SF Joint Venture

States across the country are rolling out the red carpet for movie producers, with new legislation being introduced in Nevada that proposes up to $190 million in annual film tax credits for newly created studio infrastructure zones. In response to global demand for these credits, Birtcher Development – an industrial real estate development firm – and Sony Pictures Entertainment have partnered with Howard Hughes Corp. to develop their respective projects: Las Vegas Movie Campus (LVMC).

Located on 34 acres at University of Nevada Las Vegas Research Foundation’s Technology Park, LVMC will feature up to 15 state-of-the-art sound stages as well as creative office space and pre-, production and post-production support services totaling more than 900,000 square feet of rentable space. Construction is expected begin spring 2025 with tenants potentially occupying by late 2026 or early 2027; film/content creation could start by 2027.
