### Energy Abundance Plans Hydrogen-Powered Data Center in Laredo

Energy Abundance Development Corp. has announced plans for a large-scale data center hub near Laredo, Texas, which will eventually operate entirely on hydrogen fuel, eliminating reliance on the electrical grid.

The project, named **Data City**, is set to initially develop **300 megawatts of power** and **1 million square feet of data center space by 2026**. Over time, it will expand to **5 gigawatts of power** and more than **15 million square feet of leasable space**. Initially powered by natural gas produced in Texas, the facility will transition to **100% green hydrogen**, sourced from the company’s **2-terawatt-hour hydrogen salt dome storage facility**.

According to Energy Abundance, this initiative will be the **world’s largest behind-the-meter data center hub** powered exclusively by green energy, available 24/7. The project will utilize **underground salt cavern storage** at the **Piedras Pintas Salt Dome**, located west of Corpus Christi. Power for the storage facility will come from adjacent solar and wind farms.

In a strategic move, Energy Abundance recently relocated its headquarters from Austin to Houston, securing office space in **Pennzoil Place at 700 Milam St. in downtown Houston**.
