**Lake Bryan Developer Shifts Plans from Hotel to Timeshare Resort**

Developers behind a proposed 19-story hotel near Disney Springs are now planning to convert the project into a timeshare property. The move marks a significant shift in direction for MB Properties, which had previously announced plans for the hotel to break ground in 2026 with a targeted opening in 2028.

MB Signature Properties has submitted a request to the Orange County Development Review Committee seeking approval to modify the original hotel proposal and instead develop 199 timeshare units at the site.

The revised plan for the MB Resort includes two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites designed to accommodate up to six guests. Units will include full kitchens, aligning with the most common timeshare property format. Industry data shows that 60% of timeshares are two-bedroom units, followed by one-bedroom units (22%), three or more bedrooms (10%), and studio layouts (8%).

The resort is also set to feature upscale amenities, including a spa, rooftop bar and restaurant, a fire pit area, splash park, and a swimming pool.

This pivot reflects the evolving landscape of Central Florida’s hospitality and vacation ownership markets, particularly in high-demand areas near major attractions like Walt Disney World.
