LabCorp has secured a lease for 1,137 square feet at Baltimore’s Yard 56, specifically within The Wellness Center. This medical office building is part of the Class A property located at 5601 Eastern Avenue and is set to be completed in Q2 of 2023. LabCorp will join other healthcare tenants such as Baltimore Medical System, Innovative Physical Therapy, and BayVanguard Bank in this health-focused facility.
Yard 56 was designated as a Federal Opportunity Zone and encompasses various phases including medical facilities, apartments, and structured parking. According to Erik Ylitalo, Vice President of Leasing for MCB Real Estate who represents the landlord in this transaction along with Cushman & Wakefield’s Matt Melnick and Lizzy Sweeney: “The addition of LabCorp and other like-minded healthcare tenants strengthens the foundation of Yard 56.” He further adds that these additions will enrich the wellness ecosystem while improving both quality life for residents living in this neighborhood.
