**Labatt Food Service Secures Tax Incentives for New Warehouse in Jarrell, Texas**
Labatt Food Service has qualified for local tax incentives as it moves forward with the construction of a new $42 million distribution facility in Jarrell, Texas — located roughly 30 minutes north of Austin. The facility will span 150,000 square feet and sit on a 48-acre site at the intersection of Ronald W. Reagan Boulevard and County Road 237. Labatt acquired the site in December.
Under the terms of the agreement, Labatt will receive a 50% property tax abatement on the value of the land and improvements, amounting to as much as $600,000 over a 10-year period. Additionally, the City of Jarrell has agreed to waive $200,000 in development-related fees.
Labatt Food Service, which ranks as the 10th largest food distributor in the United States, operates nine warehouses across Texas. While the company specializes in serving K-12 schools, it also services independent operators, military bases, retail chains, and national accounts.
