**KTGY Celebrates Grand Opening of Vermeer Apartments in D.C.’s Buzzard Point**
Design firm KTGY has celebrated the grand opening of Vermeer, a new 500-unit residential development located at 113 Potomac Avenue SW in Washington, D.C.’s Buzzard Point neighborhood. The project also includes more than 36,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Developed by Toll Brothers Apartment Living in partnership with CrossHarbor Capital Partners, Vermeer rises 13 stories and features a variety of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Residents can enjoy a wide array of amenities, including a rooftop pool, coworking spaces, and a resident lounge.
As one of the tallest buildings in the Buzzard Point area, Vermeer stands out with its expansive footprint. Construction began in late 2022, supported by a $162.7 million construction loan facility from Bank OZK. The first residents moved in December 2024, and the grand opening was celebrated in early May 2025.
Situated in a prime location, Vermeer offers convenient access to the Capitol Riverfront, Audi Field, Nationals Park, The Wharf, and the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station. The building’s first retail tenant, a 19,000-square-foot Gold’s Gym, is slated to open this fall.
