KTGY Opens New Chicago Office at 225 W Randolph Building
CRE Market Beat Take
KTGY’s consolidation into rehabilitated Class A space reflects ongoing occupier preference for upgraded legacy assets in Chicago’s core office stock.

National interiors, architecture and branding firm KTGY has opened a new Chicago office that brings its local design teams together in a single location. The firm has combined its two Chicago-based architecture and interior design studios into one consolidated workspace inside The 225 W Randolph Building, a historic Chicago landmark.

The move places KTGY within a property that has been a recognizable presence in the city for decades. The building was originally completed in 1967 and was long known as the Illinois Bell Telephone Building, serving as a single-tenant telecom facility. In recent years, it has been rehabilitated and transformed into modern Class A office space, positioning the asset for contemporary workplace use while retaining its historic character.

By housing both its interiors and architecture teams under one roof, KTGY is creating a more closely connected studio environment in Chicago. The unified office is intended to foster collaboration between disciplines and streamline how the firm delivers projects. This integrated structure is described as supporting a more cohesive, high-performing workplace that can better respond to client needs.

The new Chicago office is also intended to strengthen KTGY’s service to clients across the Mid-West. With interiors and architecture expertise now consolidated in a single location, the firm aims to support a wide range of assignments across the region from one coordinated base of operations.

Leadership of the office reflects this blended approach. The space will be led jointly by Interior Design Principal Gina Deary and Architecture Principal Sam Luckino. The pairing of interior design and architecture leaders at the helm of the studio is presented as reinforcing KTGY’s commitment to both disciplines and to the ongoing evolution of its practice in the region.

The firm positions the new office as a tangible investment in its Chicago presence and in the teams that support its work there. Locating in a rehabilitated, Class A office building with historic roots underscores KTGY’s focus on design quality and aligns the firm with a property that has been adapted to current workplace standards.
