KinderCare Learning Centers has selected The Shops at Fairway Village in Waldorf, Maryland as the site for its fifth facility in Charles County and second location in the greater area. With a lease agreement secured through MCB Real Estate and Generation Properties, KinderCare will occupy 11,880 square feet of space within the 120,000-square-foot mixed-use development upon its completion in fall 2025.
Based out of Lake Oswego, Oregon, KinderCare offers early childhood education and care services for children from infancy to school-age. Operating across 40 states and Washington D.C., Lindsay Sorhondo (Chief Innovation Officer) stated that finding available child care centers can be particularly challenging for families in the D.C. region.
The Shops at Fairway Village is anchored by Weis Markets and includes residential units totaling to 186. It is situated at St.Charles Parkway’s intersection with Billingsley Road.
