"Kin Insurance Leases 20K SF at the Merchandise Mart for Subleasing"

Chicago-based home insurance company, Kin Insurance, has secured a sublease for over 20,000 square feet on the ninth floor of the Merchandise Mart from online consumer lender Avant. According to Crain’s report, CBRE’s Brad Serot and Tyler Reaumond represented Avant in negotiating the sublease while CBRE’s Tony Coglianese negotiated on behalf of Kin.

The move to this new office space will take place later in 2024 as they transition from their current location on the building’s second floor. This previous space was approximately 11,000 square feet and had been subleased by Kin for several years.

In line with other companies downsizing their office footprint, Grubhub also recently announced its plans to relocate its headquarters to the Merchandise Mart earlier this year. The ongoing trend of businesses moving into this iconic Chicago landmark continues as more companies recognize its prime location and amenities.
