Kidder Mathews Brokers Sale of Industrial-Retail Building in Tacoma

Matt McLennan, SIOR, CCIM, and Chris Trussel of Kidder Mathews, along with Tyler Dean of Macadam Forbes, represented the seller in the recent sale of a 31,229-square-foot, stand-alone industrial and retail building located at 5950 N 9th Street in Tacoma, Washington.

Initially listed with the intention of securing a new tenant, the property quickly attracted significant interest from both users and investors. “This listing generated a high volume of inquiries and showings, underscoring strong demand for stand-alone, mid-size industrial buildings in the North Tacoma submarket,” said McLennan. “A motivated buyer and aligned expectations allowed both sides to accelerate timelines and close ahead of schedule.”

Positioned in a retail-adjacent corridor with convenient access to SR-16 and I-5, the building features a flexible configuration ideal for industrial and retail uses. Specifications include 18-foot interior clearance heights and two dock-high loading doors. The asset was previously held by an out-of-state owner who initially aimed to lease the space before opting for a sale.
