Kearny Real Estate, the master developer of the 311-acre Otay Crossings Commerce Park in San Diego’s Otay Mesa submarket, has begun construction on its 26-acre final phase. Located near a future U.S.-Mexico Point of Entry, this development will include four buildings with sizes ranging from 45,000 to 205,500 square feet.
Jeff Givens from Kearny noted that “the industrial market in Otay Mesa has seen tremendous growth over recent years” and vacancies have stayed around 3%. He added that an increasing number of users are migrating to this area due to the demand for Class A industrial facilities across San Diego County.
The buildings will feature dock-high and grade-level doors as well as 32’ – 36′ clear heights and truck courts up to 180 feet deep. The first 45k sq ft building is expected by Q4 2023 while remaining structures should be delivered early 2024
