Construction has officially begun on Texas Heritage Marketplace, a $400 million mixed-use shopping center in Waller County developed by NewQuest. The development will feature a 149,000-square-foot Target store as its anchor.
Located in Katy, Texas and spanning 165 acres along Interstate 10 and the newly completed Texas Heritage Parkway, the project will ultimately include 750,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space as well as two apartment communities with a total of 550 units. Additionally, there will be nearly 300,000 square feet dedicated to medical offices and self-storage units.
According to Austin Alvis from NewQuest: “We are currently working with top retailers and restaurants to ensure an ideal mix for this project. We anticipate announcing more anchors and tenants soon.”
After nearly ten years of planning by NewQuest’s team, construction is finally underway thanks to the completion of the nearby six-and-a-half-mile-long Texas Heritage Parkway. This marks an exciting milestone for both NewQuest and Katy residents alike.
