"Karis Cold Eyes: Grand Opening of Spec Charlotte Facility"

Karis Cold, a Florida-based company, has announced plans to develop a 277,785-square-foot cold-storage facility in Rock Hill. The project is estimated to cost $80 million and is set for completion in the first half of 2024.

In January, Karis Cold made an official announcement about the project after receiving approval from York County last year. According to reports from the Charlotte Business Journal, this development will be the first speculative cold-storage facility in the Charlotte region.

The company acquired over 40 acres of land on Lazy Hawk Road for $2.3 million as per county real estate records. The Rock Hill location will feature impressive specifications such as 50-foot clear heights, 28 dock doors, two drive-in doors and ample parking with space for trailers and cars.

Leading construction firm United Insulated Structures has been selected as both general contractor and architect for this project.
