Kannapolis Downtown Revitalization Project: Seeking Developer

Looking for a skilled and innovative developer to construct a mixed-use development in the heart of Kannapolis. This project will include 250 residential units, up to 20,000 square feet of commercial space, and 400 parking spots.

The city has released a request for qualifications from developers for Block 6, a prime location near Atrium Health Ballpark. With $120 million already invested in downtown revitalization efforts, this project is expected to be the pinnacle of success.

Partnering with the UNC School of Government’s Development Finance Initiative, Kannapolis aims to secure an ideal developer for this site. Interested parties must submit their proposals by January 19th.

The city plans on selecting a development partner by mid-2024 and finalizing an agreement later that year. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of Kannapolis’ exciting downtown transformation!
