JVP has been given the green light by the Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission to proceed with The Mix, a 112-acre project that will replace what used to be Wade Park. According to Dallas Business Journal, plans for The Mix include approximately 2 million square feet of office space, 375,000 square feet of retail space, two hotels and townhomes as well as urban living units. Additionally it will feature a 9-acre central park and 16 acres of green open space for recreational activities.
The first phase is set on 28 acres which includes 100 thousand total square feet in retail including 40 thousand in grocery stores plus 120 thousand medical office building along with urban living units and part of the central park; construction should take around three years before completion. Located at southeast corner between Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road this development still awaits City Council approval before moving forward.
