Kaufman Organization and True North have recently leased a portion of the second floor at 21-01 51st Ave, also known as the Cardinal Building, in Long Island City. The tenant is STV-NAIK Engineering JV, a joint venture between STV Inc and Naik Consulting Group. This 10,300-square-foot space will serve as a field office for the JV’s upcoming mass transit/Amtrack Northeast Corridor infrastructure project.
According to Grant Greenspan, principal of Kaufman Organization: “We’ve noticed an increasing demand for dedicated field offices in public works projects throughout Manhattan and the outer boroughs.” He added that for STV-NAIK Engineering JV specifically, the Cardinal Building was an ideal choice due to its move-in ready space that could cater to their business needs during their work on the Amtrack project in Northeast.
Greenspan represented both landlords – Kaufman Organization and True North – through their partnership with 51 Ave LIC LLC. On behalf of STV-NAIK Engineering JV, Scott Henley , Jared Issacson ,and Taylor Walker from CBRE acted as representatives during negotiations with landlord.
