Next month, Middleburg Communities and KDM Development will begin construction on a new 280-unit apartment community near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The $70 million project, known as West CLT, is expected to take two years to complete and will consist of five buildings located at 3309 West Blvd.
According to the Charlotte Business Journal, KDM Development acquired two parcels for $7.7 million and partnered with Middleburg for the project’s development. The community will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 789 to 1426 square feet.
West CLT’s amenities include a pool, fitness center, dog park with pet spa services, coworking spaces, package lockers,and electric vehicle charging stations. Construction financing has been secured from Trustmark Bank with CIBC participating in the loan agreement. Phoenix Capital Partners has also made an equity investment in the project.
Cline Design Associates is serving as the architect for this venture between Middleburg Communities and KDM Development in their pursuit of creating a modern living experience near Charlotte Douglas International Airport that offers convenient access to uptown (five miles)and South End (3.5 miles).
