Henderson Park and Lowe are teaming up to transform the office building at 1250 Maryland Avenue SW in Washington DC into a residential complex. The development will consist of approximately 421 rental apartments, as well as retail and commercial spaces, accompanied by 545 parking spots.
Formerly known as Portals I, the building will offer residents a variety of unit sizes and layouts. It will also feature amenities such as a rooftop terrace with pool, resident lounge area, and co-working spaces. The project is set to begin in early 2025.
According to Henderson Park CEO Nick Weber, who is currently modernizing the nearby Salamander Washington DC hotel: “We have confidence in this micro-location’s strong foundation including its convenient transportation options and lively local attractions that this repositioned asset will both improve upon and benefit from.”
