Capstone Building Corp. has completed the first phase of McAuley Station, a new affordable housing project in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn neighborhood. This development, which is a joint venture between Pennrose and health care non-profit Mercy Care, aims to provide housing and health care services for low-income and uninsured residents of Atlanta.
Located at 375 Gartrell St. SE in Sweet Auburn, McAuley Station will complement the upcoming renovation and expansion of the nearby Mercy Care clinic on Decatur Street in 2022.
The project features 170 affordable workforce apartment units with studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans. It also includes various public amenities such as a clubhouse, wellness center, fitness center,and rooftop amenity area for residents to enjoy.
All units are priced within an affordable range for those earning between 30% to 80% of the area median income. The starting price for units with bedrooms is $1,106 per month.
In addition to this first phase development,the second phase will consist of approximately100 residences reserved exclusively for seniors aged55 or older at both market-rateandaffordable prices.
