A joint venture between Black Salmon and LD&D has acquired a 0.77-acre parcel in St. Petersburg for $9.05 million with plans to develop Gallery Haus, a mixed-use multifamily project estimated at $115 million.
The asset was purchased from Apogee Real Estate Partners and is located at 155 17th Street South in the downtown corridor. The proposed development will consist of a luxurious 23-story multifamily building featuring over 10,000 square feet of amenities, coworking space, and ground-floor retail spanning approximately 5,000 square feet. Construction is expected to commence in Q4 of this year.
Baker Barrios Architects has been selected as the design firm for this project which boasts an ideal location directly across from Tropicana Field – home of the Rays baseball team – where Hines Development is planning a massive $6.5 billion mixed-use redevelopment that includes a new stadium complex; making it one of Pinellas County’s largest redevelopment deals to date.
This exciting development highlights the trend towards incorporating experiential options such as sports stadiums into mixed-use developments across America due to their growing popularity among both collegiate and professional sports fans alike.
