A joint venture between LD&D and Black Salmon has recently acquired a 0.77-acre parcel in St. Petersburg for $9.05 million, with plans to develop Gallery Haus, a mixed-use multifamily project estimated at $115 million.
The asset was purchased from Apogee Real Estate Partners and is located at 155 17th Street South in the bustling downtown area. The proposed development includes a luxurious 23-story multifamily building featuring over 10,000 square feet of amenities, coworking space, and ground-floor retail spanning approximately 5,000 square feet. Construction is expected to commence in Q4 of this year.
Baker Barrios Architects has been selected as the design firm for this project which boasts an ideal location directly across from Tropicana Field – home of the Rays baseball team – where Hines will be leading a massive redevelopment effort worth $6.5 billion that will include both residential and commercial components along with an upgraded stadium experience for fans.
This ambitious development further highlights the trend towards mixed-use developments centered around major sports venues such as collegiate or professional stadiums which have seen significant growth in popularity throughout the United States.
