### Juno Beach Considers Temporary Moratorium on New Development

Juno Beach’s Planning & Zoning Board has unanimously supported a temporary moratorium on new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial development applications. This moratorium, however, will not impact already approved but unbuilt commercial real estate projects.

If approved by the city council, the moratorium will remain in effect for up to one year or until the completion of Juno Beach’s Community Vision and Master Plan process, whichever comes first. The intent behind this temporary halt is to provide council members with additional time to develop a comprehensive master plan in collaboration with the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council. This plan aims to regulate growth while preserving the small seaside town’s character in northeast Palm Beach County.

According to the *South Florida Business Journal*, developers throughout South Florida are increasingly seeking new opportunities to construct apartments, condominiums, and luxury homes. This surge in development is driven by affluent individuals and families relocating to the region from across the country and around the world.
