### Juno Beach Considers Temporary Moratorium on New Development

Juno Beach’s Planning & Zoning Board has unanimously supported a temporary moratorium on new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial development applications. This pause will not impact previously approved but unbuilt commercial real estate projects.

If approved by the city council, the moratorium will remain in effect for up to one year or until the completion of Juno Beach’s Community Vision and Master Plan process, whichever comes first. The measure aims to provide council members with additional time to collaborate with the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council in shaping a new master plan that ensures responsible development while preserving the town’s small seaside character.

According to the South Florida Business Journal, developers have been actively exploring new opportunities across the tri-county area, seeking to build apartments, condos, and homes to accommodate the influx of wealthy residents relocating to South Florida from across the country and beyond.
