JT Magen, a leading national construction company, has successfully completed the renovation of a 150,000-square-foot retail space for Wayfair at Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Illinois. The two-story store is located in the former Carson Pirie Scott department store.
The project involved a complete overhaul of the existing building including new facades, roof and utility systems. JT Magen also expanded the exterior by 110,000 square feet to accommodate additional amenities such as a plaza area with landscaping and parking lot.
As construction manager for this project, JT Magen was responsible for all aspects from budgeting to material procurement. The firm also led structural design efforts for both base building requirements and storefront design.
