JPMorgan Chase’s Community Development Banking team is delighted to welcome Melissa Pillars as Senior Banker on the New Market Tax Credit Originations team, covering the Central region. With a passion for community development, this new role will enable her to continue her NMTC investment journey.
Pillars has been with Chase for nearly 19 years and has held various positions such as personal banker, business relationship manager and Great Lakes Government Nonprofit Area Manager – responsible for leading a specialized banking team focused on governments and nonprofit entities in the Midwest. Additionally, she chaired two Business Resource Groups (Adelante & Women On The Move) while also serving as mentor of The Fellowship Initiative & Board Member of Instituto del Progreso Latino. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.
