JPI Begins Construction on Third Affordable Housing Project in McKinney

**JPI Plans Third Affordable Housing Development in McKinney**

Dallas-based developer JPI, in partnership with the McKinney Housing Authority, has announced plans for a new multifamily affordable housing community in McKinney. The $104 million project, called Jefferson Terry, will be situated at the southeast corner of University Drive and Terry Lane.

The Jefferson Terry development will consist of 393 residential units spread across four four-story buildings. The community will offer a variety of amenities, including a dog park, swimming pool, arcade, and fitness center.

Apartments will range from studio to three-bedroom units, with monthly rents varying from $579 to $3,118 based on unit size and affordability rates. Approximately half of the units are expected to be offered at below-market rates.

Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2025 and is projected to be completed by August 2027.

Jefferson Terry marks JPI’s third leasing property in the McKinney area.
