John Casasante has been appointed as the new CEO and CIO of Manulife US Real Estate Investment Trust, based in Southern California. He brings over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate from his previous roles at DWS, Cushman & Wakefield, and Lincoln Property Company.
Prior to joining Manulife, Casasante was the regional director for real estate asset management alternatives and assets at DWS. In this role, he oversaw a portfolio worth $15 billion across industrial and office properties in the Western United States.
Joining him is Mushtaque Ali who has been named as CFO. Together with Casasante’s expertise in the US property market, they will work towards strengthening relationships with stakeholders while improving operational efficiency to drive sustainable positive results for investors.
According to Marc Feliciano , chairman and non-executive director of Manulife US Real Estate Management Pte Ltd., their leadership will be crucial as they continue to implement their stabilization and growth plan for Manulife US REIT.
