JBG SMITH has joined forces with Volo Sports to launch Club Volo at National Landing, a temporary recreational site featuring four illuminated beach volleyball courts and planned food and beverage options. Located at 223 23rd Street, this venue offers organized league play, community activities, court rentals, and corporate wellness events. Plans are also in place to add temporary pickleball courts next spring.
According to Amy Rice, Senior Vice President of Retail Leasing at JBG SMITH: “Our collaboration with Volo Sports not only expands the public spaces available in National Landing but also actively builds a sense of community in the area.”
This partnership is just one aspect of JBG SMITH’s larger efforts to create dynamic community spaces. Last year saw the opening of Water Park – a 1.6-acre dining destination – as well as Dining in the Park which features Surreal by renowned chef Enrique Limardo.
