Capital Square has recently announced the appointment of Jay Olander as President and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to leading Capital Square Apartment REIT, Inc., Olander brings over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry with a strong focus on REITs and multifamily properties.

Olander’s impressive career includes leadership roles at Landmark Apartment Trust, where he successfully oversaw its acquisition by Starwood Capital Group. He also held positions at Grubb & Ellis REIT Advisor and Cornerstone Realty Income Trust. With degrees from Radford University and Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as completing the Harvard Business School Executive Education program, Olander is highly qualified for his new role.

Aside from his professional achievements, Olander is actively involved in various organizations such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation and Greater Richmond SCAN. His expertise in both REITs and multifamily properties makes him an invaluable asset to Capital Square’s goal of becoming one of the top real estate companies nationwide.
