The Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC), a subsidiary of the Jamul Indian Village Tribe, is expanding their casino with a boutique luxury hotel. Currently under construction in Jamul, San Diego County, the 156-room lodging property will offer 200 rooms including 52 suites.
Since opening in October 2016, JIVDC has made additions and renovations to the property. Chairwoman of both the tribe and JIVDC board Erica M. Pinto expressed her pride at being able to capitalize on their success with this development: “In only a few short years since opening I’m proud that we can expand our footprint in this market while increasing funding for fire protection throughout San Diego County as well as provide 125 new permanent jobs and 1,000 construction jobs.”
