Jacksonville Welcomes New Korean "Hypermarket"

Lotte Plaza Market is set to take over the former Best Buy location at 9355 Atlantic Blvd. in Jacksonville, where they will be building one of their hypermarkets. The project includes a $9 million renovation of the vacant 45,799-square-foot store situated on approximately 3.4 acres within the Regency property off Atlantic Avenue. The grand opening is scheduled for early next year.

The architectural and engineering firm Casco of St. Louis has been chosen to oversee all aspects of the interior, exterior and site renovations for Lotte Plaza Market’s new location.

According to site plans, customers can expect a wide range of offerings including grocery items, meat and seafood sections as well as fresh produce options. Additionally, there will be a food court featuring various eateries for shoppers to enjoy.

Originating in Gwangjin-gu Seoul on April 1st ,1998,Lotte Plaza Market has grown into one Asia’s largest hypermarket chains offering an extensive selection groceries,clothing,toys,and electronics under one roof.This powerhouse brand now operates over 111 domestic stores and an impressive number international locations totaling up to64 by2023.
