**Former Charter School Site in Roxbury to Become Islamic School and Community Center**
Barrie Naji of Coldwell Banker Realty Sharon-Canton Regional Office and founder of Barrie Sells Boston/Global Lux Collective represented Malik Academy, a nonprofit organization, in the acquisition of a significant property in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The site, formerly home to City On A Hill Charter School at 58 Circuit Street, will soon become the Blackstone Islamic Education Collaborative—an Islamic school and community center serving families across Greater Boston.
The transaction closed at $3,888,500, with Avison Young representing the seller. According to Naji, the deal required coordination among various public, private, and business partners. The process involved complex negotiations, thorough due diligence, and specialized financing provided by UIF Corporation.
“This was more than a real estate transaction,” said Naji. “It was about helping a community find a permanent home where faith, education, and service can grow together.”
The newly acquired facility is expected to play a central role in the community by hosting educational programs, youth initiatives, and cultural gatherings.
