**Investors Acquire and Plan Redevelopment of Sandalwood Beach Resort in Redington Beach**
A group of investors has acquired the Sandalwood Beach Resort, located at 17100 Gulf Blvd. in Redington Beach, for $6 million. The property, originally built in 1959, includes 47 fully furnished units, a pool, and private beach access. The resort suffered irreparable damage from Hurricane Helene in 2024.
Century 21 broker Jeffery Beggins and local developer Bill Karns, operating through Nored Beach Development, are leading the redevelopment project. Plans include complete demolition of the existing structure followed by new construction. The storm also heavily impacted several other coastal lodgings, including the nearby Sails Resort Motel.
In addition to the Sandalwood project, Beggins is spearheading the revitalization of the Schooner Motel and Beachside Suites, two other hurricane-damaged properties. In April, Beggins and a group of Madeira Beach residents purchased over an acre of land for $7.95 million, with plans underway for a 56-room luxury boutique resort.
These developments reflect ongoing efforts to revitalize the Redington Beach area in the wake of extensive hurricane damage.
