Investcorp, a global investment manager specializing in alternative investments, has recently acquired 31 industrial properties across five major US markets for $216 million. This latest acquisition brings Investcorp’s total US industrial real estate holdings to approximately $4.8 billion and over 600 buildings spanning 42 million square feet.
The newly acquired portfolio consists of infill warehouses with a high occupancy rate of 94%. These properties are strategically located in areas with strong demand for infill industrial projects such as Atlanta, Boston, Central New Jersey, Allentown (PA), and San Antonio.
According to Herb Myers, co-head of real estate North America at Investcorp: “The growing e-commerce industry and the need for diversified supply chains have presented lucrative opportunities for investing in factories and warehouses throughout the United States.” He further added that this acquisition is a testament to their long-standing commitment towards investing in US real estate assets.
This recent development marks another milestone achievement by Investcorp as they continue their legacy of successful investments spanning over 27 years.
